The amazing Bottoms Up Leash™ is a quality, 100% nylon, supportive leash for the rear end of animals. This device was designed to aid animals that have arthritis, dysplasia, broken bones, or any other muscular or skeletal problems. This wonderful device allows you to aid your pet with ramps, stairs, and even bodily functions. The person holding the leash lifts a portion of the animal's weight off its hind legs. The animal still walks normally, but will have a portion of its weight supported making it much easier on the dog or pet.
The pressure on the animal is distributed under the center of its hind legs. This is because the straps on the leash have a clearance in their design to stay off of the animal's back. • How does the Bottoms Up Leash™ work?
  - The Bottoms Up Leash™ works by taking a portion of the weight off your pet's hind legs. Your cat/dog will still go through the walking motion, but you will be supporting a portion of their weight.
• Does the leash come in different sizes?
  - Our leash fits dogs of all sizes. We have never had a problem with our leash not fitting a certain sized dog. If your dog weighs less than 25 pounds we recommend that you use the two slide clips that we will ship with your leash order. These slide clips are used to adjust the size of the leg loops to the desired size. We have many customers that have Lhasa Apsos and Daschunds and the leashes work great.
• Do I need to use a "Front Leash" in addition to the Bottoms Up Leash?
  - You do not have to, but some dogs are more comfortable with having both leashes. It will not effect results if you decide to use a front leash with your Bottoms Up Leash™.
• Will I need to be able to lift my dog's weight in order to be able to use the Bottoms Up Leash™?
  - No. In actuality you are only lifting a portion of the weight of the dog's rear hind-quarters.
• Is it difficult to get my dog into the Bottoms Up Leash?
  -Absolutely not. Once the dog realizes this leash helps them walk, he/she will be eager to help you place it on them. It is easy as placing a head-end leash on an animal.
• Will the Bottoms Up Leash chafe my dog's skin?
  - No. The Nylon material is very soft and we have not had any complaints regarding it chafing the skin of any dogs stable to conform to your dog!
